The Judea P Benjamin house is currently undergoing a major renovation after years of neglect by tenants. This project involves Vieux Carre Commission approvals as well as State and Federal historic tax credits.

BEFORE

This property has VCC violations cases going back decades largely due to an illegally enclosed back porch. We were able to get a permanent enclosure approved by the Vieux Carre Commission and all violation cases closed on the property.

This property had multiple VCC violations cases and significant structural issues. After a permitting process that involved Safety & Permits, Vieux Carre Commission, Code Enforcement, Zoning, State Fire Marshal, Flood Plan Authority, and Board of Building Standards and Appeals this building is on its way to being structurally sound and code compliant.
